Description

Puny Human is an independent game studio with a strong passion for games and game development. Formed by a group of game modification creators, our mission includes humility, learning and forming unique experiences into games.

History

Modding and Formation

In 2007, Puny Human released the popular full-modification for the Source Engine, named Dystopia, supporting it with continuous patches and updates until 2010. In order to better grow and learn game development, Puny Human worked on various small projects and in the process encountered another group of developers passionate about their project.

Swordplay Success

In late 2010, Puny Human merged with a group developing a Source Engine game called Berimbau. With the combined talent, the game was re-built from the ground up, and in mid-2011 a Kickstarter was run for the project that was renamed Blade Symphony. After a successful Kickstarter, and two years of development, Puny Human released Blade Symphony in 2014.

Space Shmup Speed

While supporting Blade Symphony, the team started on a new project and released Galacide on Steam's Early Access in March 2015, with a full release on PC in July 2015. In the span of five months, Puny Human built a project using Unreal Engine 4 for the first time and released it on Steam. An enhanced Galacide will be released on October 23rd for Xbox One, Switch and PlayStation 4. Since then, Puny Human has worked on a multitude of other titles, including Aquanox Deep Descent, Killer Queen Black, Frostpoint VR, Wasteland 3, Bard's Tale IV, The Mage's Tale and more. Puny Human is currently staying busy updating and promoting Galacide, and planning for their next project.
